Hello, my name is Mr. Saks and I am an Earth Science, Astronomy, and General Science teacher at Horseheads High School.  Welcome to my homepage on the net.  This site will allow you to do a lot of things within my classroom.

• You can also find review sites I have bookmarked for you to look at and review when it comes to the final or when it just comes to studying for a test.

EARTH SCIENCE

This class is a Regent's class that covers all the material required by the state.  The topics include Earth structure, mapping, historical geology, plate tectonics, atmospheric science, and Astronomy.  It is a fast paced class with a lot of lab work and individual work.  It will take a great deal of studying in and out of the classroom.

ASTRONOMY

This is a non Regent's class but is a challenging course dealing with the stars in the sky. The course will cover the basics of Astronomy as well as stellar evolution and death.  Students will be reguired to have a good working knowledge of presentation programs as well as time to come to some evening star viewings.

GENERAL SCIENCE

This is an introductory course of all sciences in school.  This course offers information on Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and Earth Science.  It allows students to get used to the rigor of high school science as well as preparing them to meet the demands of labs.
