The First Day of the Upcoming Academic School Year will be Wednesday, September 8th, 2010.
I want to take this opportunity to welcome you to 5th grade. This year will be an exciting and enriching experience.
Your child will gain invaluable experience by changing rooms for classes. Since fifth grade is regarded as the stepping–stone to middle school, this type of scheduling should encourage your child to develop the qualities of independence and self-responsibility; qualities which are essential for success in middle school.
Respect for those in authority and one’s peers will also be stressed this year, as well as good self-control and self-discipline.
