 ¡¡martes marvilloso!!
As you know in 8th grade we have the Proficiency Exam.  The written exam will be on Wednesday, June 14, 2017.  With success on this exam as well as a passing overall grade in 7th and 8th grade Spanish, students are eligible for second language credit in high school.
Speaking is 30% of the exam, this is one on one conversation.  While in class we use Spanish to communicate, I want to provide additional practice for the students.  On Tuesdays, April 25, May 2, May 9, May 16 and May 23, I will offer extra speaking practice after school from 3:20 pm - 4:05 pm. Transportation will be provided on these days.   This will give students a chance to sit down with me individually and understand the process.  We will practice in class however, practice makes perfect and I know with practice our students can be successful.  There will be a sign up sheet in my room each week.  I am only able to help up to 20 students per session.  There are 5 sessions; students may attend as few or as many sessions as they wish.
The oral portion of the exam dates will be on Tuesday, May 30th and Wednesday, May 31st.

7th grade

Good work today.  Now enjoy your break.  We will work to conclude the Unit 3B chapter "Para Mantener la Salud"  with a quiz Thursday and a unit 3B exam next week.

6th grade FACS

For the next several weeks students will be reporting to the downstairs computer lab to learn keyboarding.  After our unit on cursive, I thought this was quite appropriate.  Learning the keyboard is essential to success on long term assingments.   This is a self paced program.  Students my access this at home for further practice. Just go to www. typing.com
and log in under student login.

6th grade Spanish

The Alfabeto y el diccionario are the next topics.
